Detached house. Late C16-early C17 extended C20. Limestone rubble
with dressed stone quoins. Red tile roof with ashlar stacks. Two
storeys, attic and cellar. Rectangular main body with C20
extension to the right gable end (viewed from the garden front).
C20 porch extension at right angles at rear, not of special
interest. Flat-chamfered plinth. Symmetrical 2-windowed garden
front with two original mid C17 hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned
casements with stopped hoods and two C20 stone-mullioned casements
with stopped hoods. Central C20 part-glazed door with a segmental
surround. C20 Cotswold style extension breaks forwards to the
right. Fenestration at rear from left to right; C20 single and 2-
light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to the ground
floor. Single-light cellar window lower right. First floor; 2-
light stone-mullioned casement with 4-centred arched heads to each
light and a hollow-moulded mullion, carved spandrels and a stopped
hood, single C17 light with a stopped hood to the right, 2-light
C20 stone-mullioned casements, C17 two-light stone-mullioned
hollow-chamfered mullion and a stopped hood far right. Stepped
coped gables. Roll-cross saddle to the right gable end. Gable-end
and axial stack (now reduced in height) to the main body. Interior
not accessible but reputed to contain a good fireplace.
