The Old Forge

Detached cottage. Mid C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone.
Concrete tile roof and ashlar stacks to main body, stone slate and
corrugated iron roofing to successive outbuildings to right.
Single storey outbuilding with corrugated iron roof left of main
body, not of special interest. Facade of main body; 2 storeys and
attic lit by single lights in gable ends. Central C20 part-glazed
door with glazing bars. Two-windowed facade lit by double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements with horizontal glazing bars.
C20 casements in rear wall of main body. Old Forge right of main
body; single storey with plank door to left, 12-pane and 15-pane
fixed casements. Stacks with moulded cappings, at gable ends of
main body.
