Stableblock partly converted into 2 cottages. Late C18-early C19.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar
stacks. Courtyard formed by stableblock (partly converted into two
dwellings) on two sides, open-fronted store on north side, wall and
entrance on east. Stableblock; 2 storeys, 12-pane sashes to
ground floor, 6-pane sashes with horns to first floor, all within
plain architraves. Five tall doorways to stableblock and converted
part of stableblock. C20 double part-glazed doors to North and
South Stable Cottages. Six-pane fixed casements over each. C20
double-width opening to right. Stableblock wing right; two C19
double doors on C20 part-glazed door. All doors with casements
over. Three basket-headed archways, right, now blocked with C20
garage doors inserted. Axial and lateral stacks. Open-fronted
store, single storey with nine basket-headed bays divided by ashlar
piers with imposts and keystones. Three bays walled in C20. C20
casements and doors inserted. Wall c2.5m in height with double
width opening off-centre right, flanked by square gate piers with
ball finials.
