GV II

Cottage. Mid C17-early C18, partly rebuilt or encased in brick
C20. Square-panelled timber framing with painted brick infill;
some painted limestone rubble; west front brick; thatched roof
with early brick stack. Rectangular plan. l½ storeys. Buttressed
west front with two 3-light C20 steel casements with horizontal
glazing bars to the ground floor. Eyebrow dormer with similar C20
casement upper left. Plank door at the left gable end. Right
gable end now partly encased in brick, rendered gable with C20
three-light steel casement above. Timber framing complete at rear.
Off-the-ridge stack at the left gable end. Interior not
accessible. This cottage lies in a prominent position overlooking
the church and churchyard.
