GV II

Detached house. Mid-late C17. Ashlar main body with limestone
rubble extension; stone slate roof; ashlar and brick stacks.
Rectangular main body with C17 extension at right angles to rear;
kitchen extension at right angles to the latter. Main body: 2
storeys and attic. Three-windowed facade: C19 three-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood lower right;
C20 glass doors with steel frames far left. Central plank door
with an early thumb latch in a flat-chamfered dressed stone
surround, within a late C19-early C20 gabled stone-built porch with
timber gable; continuous dripmould from the-glass doors to the 3-
light window with a stopped hood at each end. Two 3-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements to the upper floor flanking a
single-light double-chamfered surround. Two 3-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to the left
gable end; similar 2-light casement to the attic. C20 stone-
mullioned casement; one 3-light and one 2-light casement to the
right gable end. Traces of projecting bread oven to the gable end
of the kitchen extension. Twin axial stack, restored C20 and
lateral brick stack to the main body. Stepped gable-end coping
with roll-cross saddles. Interior not inspected.
