House pair. Early C19. Timber-framed and weather boarded, with part-tile hung
return elevations and plain tiled roof Gothick cottage oriel style. Two storeys
and attic on brick plinth, with gabled main range, gable end to road, from which 2
subsidiary gables break forward, with more elaborate moulded bargeboards and pen-
dants than main gable stacks to left and to right. Two Y-traceried arched lights
in recessed attic 2 depressed ached niches in subsidiary gable heads, and
2 Gothick traceried depressed arched headed glazing bar sashes on each floor.
Projecting to left and to right returns are gable wings, with pierced bargeboards
and pendants, with traceried panel doors with depressed arched heads in their
sides (facing road), and simple Y tracery wooden casements to return elevations.
Reputedly built to house workers for Davis and Leaney's Builders establishment
formerly to rear of site.
