House. C16 or earlier. Timber framed, partly weatherboarded, partly plastered,
thatched roof with valleys of red clay tiles. 4 bays facing E, with axial
chimney stack one bay from left end, forming a lobby-entrance, C16 or earlier.
Rear wing from right end, C17, forming an L-plan, with external chimney stack on
right side. C18 bread oven attached to this stack, complete. 2 storeys. Front
is plastered, with 2-window range of horizontally sliding sashes of 18 lights
on the ground floor, 12 lights on the first floor. 4-panel door, upper panels
glazed. Above the door, inscription in the plaster: S

Grouped diagonal shafts on main stack. Restricted access to interior in April
1984. Ground floor room to right of main stack has a chamfered axial beam with
lamb's tongue stops, and plain joists of horizontal section. Formerly known as
Upper Jennies Farm. RCHM 9.
