Farmhouse and barn. Late C17 or early C18, but datestone reads: "C/1874".
Stone rubble, the front of the house roughcast, with ashlar dressings; slate
roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Central entrance plan with barn to left. Coped gable
with kneelers, left gable end has ball finial. Windows have ashlar surrounds
and 2-light casements, but that to 2nd bay of ground floor has 3-light
casement. Entrance has ashlar surround and half-glazed door; datestone above
has canted upper angles and 2 blank escutcheons. Cross-axial stack, probably
later, and gable-end stack. Barn has segmental-headed barn entrance with
smaller entrance to right and window to left. Left return has small openings.
Rear has 2-light double-chamfered mullioned window, no mullion, to 1st bay of
ground floor, window to 2nd bay in former entrance, later entrance between
them. 2 windows to 1st floor, that to 2nd bay is later. Barn was C20 lean-to
outshut, with blocked entrance to left hand end; 3 collar and tie beam trusses.
