Farmhouse. Early C18, with mid C18 alterations and heightening. Roughcast
stone with slate roofs. 2 storeys, 3 bays, the 1st bay an outbuilding, the last
2 bays recessed and lower, probably originally outbuilding. Central entrance
plan. Coped gables with kneelers. Ground floor 3-light windows with recessed
mullions; 1st floor windows are sashed with vertical glazing bars; last 2 bays
have 2 casements to 1st bay, one in former entrance, and 2 1st floor casements.
Entrance has sunk ogee to lintel and 8-panel door, 2 flush panels, the rest
fielded, the top pair with arched heads, strap hinges and original latch.
Above, a datestone reading: "EBB/1730/AB" and sundial added by R. Burrow in
1758. Segmental-headed entrance to outbuilding to left, and entrance to end
bay. 3 gable-end stacks. Rear has some mullioned windows. Interior has room
with fielded dado panelling, stone fireplace, beams with cornices. Rear room
has stone fireplace with fluted key, and stone shelves. Stair has square
newels, column balusters and moulded handrail. Some 6-panel doors and one
8-panel door.
