House, 1743. Stone-dressed Flemish bond brown brick; graded grey
slate roof. 3 storeys; 2 windows. Painted stone plinth; rusticated
quoins; bands at 1st and 2nd floors. Door of 6 fielded panels - 2
horizontal; 3 vertical; 1 horizontal. Radial bar overlight with 2
concentric bars, under slightly cambered gauged brick arch. 12-pane
sashes to lower storey, recessed but with sash-boxes exposed; flush
12-pane sashes to middle storey; 9-pane flush sashes to upper storey
with 6 panes in lower sash and 3 in upper sash; projecting stone
cills; wedge lintels except to top storey. The cills of the lower
storey are cut into plinth. Flush brick gable chimneys. Datestone at
centre of 2nd storey inscribed C : S * : K : 1743 in round-arched
recessed panel on attached Tuscan columns. Garden wall to road of
coursed sandstone and brown brick, 2 metres high, attched to house.
Interior not inspected, but oak beams and 2-panel doors are visible.
