Tollhouse. Early C19. Ashlar coal measures sandstone rising from a massive block plinth, shallow pyramidal Welsh slated roof with boldly oversailing roof and ashlar central square stack with moulded cornice. Square plan. South-west elevation. Single storey, two bays with plain doorway to north-west end, with plain projecting cambered lintel carried on block corbels. Plain planked door. Two windows to south of doorway, one now blocked with ashlar masonry, the other with a simple timber cross window with casements.
