31.1.67 Hazelbarrow Farmhouse

Gatepiers. Early C18. Ashlar sandstone gatepiers, each square
on plan, with a banded frieze, boldly projecting cornice,
surmounted by ball finials on tapered stems. The piers formed
part of the approach to Hazelbarrow Hall, a seat of the
Frecheville family. The hall was demolished c1810.
