Villa, now 2 dwellings. C.1820s. Stuccoed walls, slate-hung to rear (south),
with wide bracketed eaves to hipped slate roof with stucco stacks. Double-depth
plan with central stairhall. Picturesque Classical style. 2 storeys; 4 window
range to north with slightly projecting bay to left. C19 six-panelled (4 glazed)
door fronted by porch with Doric columns and pilasters. Horned 2/2 - pane sashes
in moulded wood architrave, except tall 6-pane window above porch and canted bay
window with glazing-bar casements. Symmetrical 3-window range west garden front
has horned 2/2-pane in moulded wood architraves above French windows with C19
Venetian shutters, fronted by 1980s tented verandah. Southern rear elevation
,retains two early C19 six/six-pane sashes and mid C20 rear extension. East
elevation retains early C19 six/six-pane and later horned 8/8-pane sash, both set
above mid C20 extension. All elevations articulated by pilasters. Interior: no
features of interest except early C19 panelled doors set in moulded architraves
to first floor of No 2. Included as part of a group of early C19 villas in
particularly fine settings on a residential cul-de-sac, an early example of
'garden suburb' planning. .

Circa 1830 two storey stucco faced villa. Double hipped slate roofs,
wide bracketed eaves. Entrance front, facing north, has slightly projecting
left hand bay. Flanking pilaster strips and plinth. Asymmetrical fenes-
tration. 3 windows 1st floor, outer ones sashes with later glazing in
moulded frames, Central French window giving on to roof of porch. On
ground floor only the projecting bay has window: 4-sided bay with transomed
lights and moulded cornice, Doric porch with columns to front, pilasters
to wall, frieze with string end moulded wood cornice. Cast iron balus-
trade above with lead ornament. West garden front symmetrical. 3 windows.
Sashes in moulded frames on 1st floor. French windows with original Vene-
tian shutters on ground floor. Southern rear elevation is slate hung,
some of windows retain glazing bars. Camden is part of a group of early
to mid c19 villas in particularly fine settings on a residential cul-de-
sac in the upper part of the town.
