Circa 1820-30 villa now divided into 2 houses (Fairlawn now in flats).
2 storeys stucco faced. Low pitch hipped slate roof with wide boxed eaves.
"Fairlawn" has verandah with cast iron columns and 1st floor balcony.
Central oeuil de boeuf window on 1st floor, flanked by French windows
with marginal glazing and circular centre pane to rectangular top lights.
Similar French windows on ground floor and central door of 3 fielded panels,
upper 2 round headed. "Lawn End" has paired round headed 1st floor windows.
Sashes with glazing bars intact and forming tracery pattern in rounded
heads. Moulded frames. Ground floor has 4 casements, of 4 x 7 panes,
in flush moulded frames. The entrance bay is recessed to left (later
addition) with glazed door and 2-light casement on 1st floor. Part of
a group of early to mid C19 villas in particularly beautiful settings,
on residential cul-de-sac in upper part of town.
