House, formerly an inn, and shop, formerly outbuilding to inn. C18.
House in header bond brickwork with rubbed brick dressings. Old tile
roof. House of 3 bays, the centre pedimented and slightly projecting,
2 storeys plus attic. Stores 2 bays and 2 storeys. House has stone
plinth with moulded brick string. Centre 6-panel door with cornice
hood and cut console brackets. Flat roofed canted bay windows to
outer bays with leaded casements. Moulded cornices and shutters.
Band course. 3-light outer windows to first floor, 2-light to centre
and single light in pediment, all leaded casements. Dentilled eaves and
pediment. Flanking stacks. 2 storey rear wing at south end and wing to
rear of stores. Interior has chamfered and stopped spine beams.
