House, part formerly a barn. C17, altered, with lower bays to
right incorporating older cruck truss. C17 part is timber framed
with brick infill, herringbone to centre bays, whitewashed to left bay,
on rubble stone plinth. Left side wall rebuilt C18-C19 in chequer brick.
2 bays to right are of whitewashed brick and render on rubble stone
plinth. Weatherboard barn to rear. Thatched roofs half-hipped to
right and to front of left bay. Rebuilt brick chimney to centre, smaller
brick chimneys to gables. 1½ storeys, 5 bays. Irregular C20 2 and 3-light
barred wooden casements, those to first floor of centre bays in thatch.
Moulded brick cornice and pediment, repointed, over ground floor window in
second bay. Central lobby entry with C20 board door and smaller 2-light
casement above in thatch. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams,
some similar joists, and winder stair in line with stack.
