c1900 for W.W Astor by T Waldo Story. Stone Renaissance style balustrades to a section of footpath overlooking the Thames. Modelled on Villa Borghese balustrade (item 3/671) with turned balusters and carved eagles on piers. Six sections divided by piers on west side, three sections and a single pier against the hillside.
