Farmhouse and attached outbuildings, now all one commercial premise. C17, C18, and
early-mid C19; later C19 and C20 alterations. Brick mostly red, in Flemish bond;
plain tile roofs. C17 main range refronted early-mid C19, with C17 wing to rear
left altered and extended probably mid C18 and early-mid C19, and with late
C18/early C19 outbuilding range attached at rear right corner, 2nd range built
behind main range early C19, parallel and projecting on right. 2 storeys with attic
and partial cellar; wing partly of 1 storey, outbuilding 2 storeys. Entrance
elevation: 5 bays. Central 4-panel door below overlight with decorative glazing
bars. 16-pane sashes in reveals with gauged flat brick arches. A gable at each end
with similar attic window. Stone coped parapet. Central C20 flat-roofed dormer.
Ridge stack to right of centre. Rear: sections of different brickwork; three
16-pane sashes on 1st floor; a 12-pane sash to wing. Right return: rear range has a
segmental-arched 16-pane sash on each floor. Left return: some C17 orangey brick in
irregular English bond. Front range has 16-pane sash to ground floor; similar
opening above partly blocked and with smaller window. Wing of 2 + 2 bays with
segmental-arched small-pane windows, blocked similarly-arched door on left,
inserted door on right, and one C20 window above; large ridge stack and one at left
end truncated. Former outbuilding has mostly C20 fenestration, 2 segmental-arched
windows to ground floor; lst-floor taking-in doorway, and 3-light window with
diagonal glazing bars. Interior: C17 features include stop chamfered beams, posts,
fireback left-hand ground-floor room, and in attic wide floor boards and original
purlins and rafters. C18 features include fine keyed, round-arched, corner cupboard
with moulded shelves in wing and similar, but plainer, cupboards flanking fireplace
in ground-floor left room; this room also has panelled window reveals and shutters.
