1862. Nos 5 to No 17 (left part) form a reflected terrace. 2 storeys and attic.
No 3 has one window per floor, Nos 5-15 have 1 window on ground floor, 2 on 1st
floor and a gabled dormer. The windows are doubled on No 17. Red brick with 2
course string over ground floor, slightly ramped between Nos 11 and 13, and an
overlapped eaves cornice. Slight plinth. Tiled roof casement windows, mostly
retaining diamond glazing; ground floor windows with millions and transom and with
pointed relieving arch over. 3 light casements in all windows and an extra single
light casement on 1st floor. No 17 has a 6 light rectangular bay to the right
with tiled roof. No 5-15 have paired doorways with pointed relieving arches and
2 pointed lights over. Nos 13 and 15 have glazed panels in doors and a joint lean-to
porch with glazed pointed lights. Rainwater boxes between houses bear date 1862.
Red and blue tiled paths retained before Nos 5-15. No 3 breaks forward, gable
end to street, and this is echoed by the right hand part of No 17 which is also
gable end to street.
Nos 3 to 17 (odd) the Massonic Hall, Nos 2 to 24 (even) and the stable building
adjacent to No 2 form a group.
