Dated 1863. 1 storey and attic. 1 window and 1 dormer each. Coursed rubble with
brick dressings, quoins, eaves modillions, plinth cap and gable cornice. Tile
roofs, hipped dormers, brick chimneys with cap modillions. Nos 2 and 16 form cross
gables fronting street; coped gables with 1863 on No 2 and initials W.I. and J.S.
on No 16. Segmental arches over plank doors with ornate cast-iron hinges (paired
doorways Nos 4-14). 5 light casement windows throughout with lattice punes. 2
lights in dormers. Rainwater heads dated 1863. No 16 has a painted front. Adjacent
to No 2 on the south side is a former stable, gable end to street, built of the
same materials.
Nos 3 to 17 (odd) the Massonic Hall, Nos 2 to 24 (even) and the stable building
adjacent to No 2 form a group.
