TL 65 NE KIRTLING NEWMARKET ROAD

7/123 Hall Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, C16, late C17, early C18 refronted in mid C19. Timber
framed and plastered, local red brick and mid C19 red brick. Plain
tile roofs hipped to front elevation; two internal red brick stacks,
and gable end stack. Two storeys. Timber framed range original three
unit plan with late Cl7 kitchen wing to west and early C18 addition
in angle to north, refronted on north and west elevation in mid C19.
North facade of three 'bays'. Three first floor twelve-paned hung
sash windows in near flush frames. Two flat roofed canted bay windows
with hung sashes and glazing bars. Recessed half glazed panelled door
with plain pilastered doorcase and panelled hood. Interior. Exposed
stop-chamfered ceiling beams and timber frame of original building.
