House, formerly the vicarage, 1843, enlarged 1856-57 for Lord
North. Architect, Benjamin Ferrey (1810-1880). Red brick with
limestone dressings. Modern replacement roof tiles. One storey
and attic and basement. Original L-plan extended later to rear
in 1856-7. Parapet gable with octagonal finial to south wing.
Moulded limestone string. Deep chamfered mullions to leaded
two-light casement dormer window and four-light casement window
to left of main entrance with studded boarded door in
four-centred arch approached by stone steps. South wing has one
two-light first floor window. Contemporary interior details.
