An early C19 brick house of circa 1820, now painted. 2 storeys and attics.
2 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals.
A 4-panel door with an ornamental fanlight has a wood doorcase with panelled
reveals, reeded architraves with roundels and a cornice hood. Roof tiled
(Old Cambridgeshire tiles), with a wood moulded eaves cornice and 1 flat
headed dormer.
Nos 54 to 64 (even), Ely Maltings, & No 68 (Malting Cottage) form a group wiht
Nos 51 to 53 (consec), Malthouse adjoining No 53, Quay House, & No 55 and the
house adjoning No 55 Waterside.
