The Rectory

House, formerly rectory. 1725-30. Timber framed, plaster rendered,
pargetted. Early C19 gault brick casing to front and west walls. Hipped
tiled roof with paired internal stacks. Square plan. Two storeys and
attic. Symmetrical main front in three window range of C19 twelve pane hung
sashes. Central doorway in round headed arch with early C18 doorcase reset.
Raised and fielded panelled reveals, pulvinated frieze and entablature. Six
raised and fieled panelled door. Adjoining on east is C18 kitchen wing.
Clunch on gault brick plinth. Tiled roof. Single storey. Interior:
opposing front and rear doorway. Early C19 stick baluster staircase.
Bo ection moulded and raised and fielded panelling in two heights to study.
Built during the incumbency of Rev. John Warde.
