Public house. C17 with C19 extension and alterations. Timber-framed and
plastered, C19 flint with gault brick dressings, plain tiled roof. Large
ridge stack to left of centre rebuilt, and ridge stack to right hand. Two
storeys and attics with cellar and rear outshut. Main entrance in lobby
entry position with additional C19 bay to south-west slightly projecting and
with blocked doorway. Two early C20 canted bay windows with hung sashes
flank half glazed door with wooden doorcase and hood on shaped brackets.
Horizontal sliding sash window with segmental brick arch to right hand;
three small first floor casement windows. Interior: Chimney stack altered
for passageway and reduced in size, stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
