House, formerly a farmhouse. Mid-late C18; c.1830 alterations and
additions, renovated c.1970. Painted red brick and C19 brick. Plain tiled
and slated roofs. Red brick side stack to right hand and gault brick rear
stacks. Two storeys, with cellars. Original symmetrical facade altered in
c.1830, entrance blocked and door and doorcase removed to 'new' side
entrance. Main south-west facade of three 'bays' with dentil brick eaves
cornice; three first floor flush-framed, twelve-paned hung sash windows,
central ground floor C19 twelve-paned hung sash window inserted into original
doorway; canted, flat roofed bay window to right hand with hung sash windows
and wide twelve-paned hung sash window to left hand recessed in segmental
brick arch. Main side entrance to south-west with six-raised and
fielded-panelled door with patterned metal glazing bars to fanlight in open
pediment with dentil enrichment and cornice with console brackets.
Interior: C19 closed string staircase, deep skirting boards and
four-panelled doors with moulded architraves; three Rococo C18 chimney
pieces possibly introduced c.1970.
