Icehouse. Mid to late C18. Cut into the natural chalk and roofed with a low
red brick dome of two and a half inch bricks earthed over. Approached by a
short vaulted tunnel from the north. At the base of the shaft is a square
meltwater soakaway with a wrought iron grating.
