Originally a pair of cottages, now one. Early C18. Timber-framed, rendered
and long straw thatch half hipped roof. Red brick shared ridge stack. Four
bays, extended mid-late C20 at the rear. One storey and attic. Two gable
dormers on south side and four modern ground floor casements and baffle entry
doorway. Inside: Each cottage had an inglenook hearth with bread oven on
north side. Framing exposed with stop chamfered main beam in one rood. At
first floor each cottage has two rooms and retains partition wall. The tie
beam is jointed and pegged to the studs fowling the doorway between the two
upper rooms.
