Pair of cottages. Late C17-early C18. Timber-framed, rendered and long
straw thatch with ridge stack. One storey and attic. Two full gable
dormers. Small ground floor casements and doorway to centre bay. Interior
of No. 48 inspected. One bay with inglenook hearth and floor frame carried
on clamp. Narrow end bay for storage with original partition wall. Typical
side purlin roof.
