SJ 65 SW BADDILEY C.P. BADDILEY LANE

3/3 Crabmill Farmhouse

Farmhouse, early C19 with later alterations. Red brick in Flemish
bond with tile roof. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. The rear (north)
wing completes a "T" shaped plan. High blue brick plinth with
weathered top course. Angle and intermediate half-brick projecting
pilasters separating bays. Projecting openwork timber porch, resting
on half-height blue brick wall, has pitched roof with barge boards and
finial. Fully glazed door and rectangular overlight with glazing
bars. Recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills and wedge
lintels. Chimney stacks with divided flues and blue brick caps
symmetrically placed in line with central facade pilasters. West
gable has blocked window. The north wing is in English Garden Wall
bond and has cross windows with casements and glazing bars. Blue tile
ridge with roll-top.
