Aqueduct, now disused. Built 1828, by the engineer Thomas Bradley as part of the Halifax
Branch Canal for the Calder and Hebble Navigation Company. Ashlar. 2 arched bridge
built skew across the river. The arches have segmental rusticated voussoirs, with a
plain band above, then a central blank plaque and above another plain band and partly
collapsed parapet. Eitherside, single ashlar piers, then curved rock-faced abutments,
finished with outer ashlar piers.
