Pair of almshouses. c1870. By F Swindon-Barber. Coursed rubble
with ashlar dressings. Slate roofs with ashlar coped gables with
finials. 2 tall ridge stacks. Chamfered plinth, and first floor
band. 2 storey, 4 windows. 2 slightly projecting central gables
with two 4-light chamfered cross mullion windows, and above two
3-light chamfered mullion windows with wooden transoms and ashlar
hoods, all with glazing bar casements. Eitherside are single
doorways with moulded ashlar bow-headed doorways with part glazed
6-panel doors, and beyond single narrow windows. Above single
lancers with moulded heads.
