School and former Schoolmaster's House, 1858, stone-dressed brick with
banded shaped-tile roofs. H-shaped; right leg school hall, left leg
house of 2 storeys, cross-piece of 2 storeys shared. Cast iron
lattice windows of grouped trefoil lancets to school;
shoulder-arched to house. 2 boarded doors (to school and house) on
ornate hinges in central link, beneath shoulder-arches, with gabled
oriel to-upper storey above. Coped gables with kneelers and finials
of stone; that to school has an open corbelled gabled belfry with
bell. At rear to right is a second schoolroom built 1897 to
commemorate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. Outside closets at
rear.
A well detailed Picturesque composition, the exterior is little
altered.
