C1870s. 3 storeys; 3 windows to east and 2 to north (facing Yarm Lane). Brick
built with regular header courses. Stone vermiculated quoins and dressings
to 1st floor windows. Alternate red and yellow brick voussoirs to 2nd floor
windows with stone ""M" label. Polychrome fascia to dentil cornice with small
rosettes below eaves. Hipped slate roof. Plate glass sash windows; round-
headed on 2nd floor; segmental headed on 1st floor with cable mouldings to heads,
vermiculated keys and scrolled bases to surrounds. On the ground floor: 3 light
bays with moulded-cornices and segmental headed windows. Entrance to Bowesfield
Lane. Round-headed moulded stone doorpiece with foliage in spandrels; semi-
circular light over 1/2 glazed doors which have carved lower panels.
