Pair of estate cottages. 1833. Brick faced in cinder or
clinker. Stone dressings. C20 cement tile roof. Diamond plan
brick ridge stack, plain brick ridge stack and a diamond plan
lateral stack. Two storeys. Unequal T-plan. Rock-faced stone
quoins. The south elevation has a projecting gabled bay to the
left, with a 3-light gothic window to the ground floor and a
similar 2-light window above. In the gable, in orange cinder,
the initials EN and the date 1833. Bargeboarded gable with
finials. to the right a 3-light gothic window and a C20 gabled
porch with timber cladding and gothic door. To the right again,
a 2-light gothic window. One 2-light window above, in a gabled
dormer. Most of the windows are deeply set, with tooled stone
surrounds. The gable end east elevation has one similar 2-light
window.
