Bottle kiln, disused and now part of a house and craft centre.
1922. Red brick. The outer skin only survives. The bottom
third vertical, with seven round arched entrances, a round
arched opening and three small square openings. Row of socket
holes above these, and five metal straps. The inward curving
upper section terminates in a decorative brick band with inset
squares. Moulded top. House and craft centre attached, not of
special interest. The kiln is the remaining one of a pair built
in 1922 for the Peak Pottery, on the site of an earlier
brickworks.
