Taken 22/07/2022 from the South. I hadn't noticed it but there is an Oak branch at the top of the tower. One is hoisted up each year on 29th May to commemorate Oak Apple Day. The day that King Charles evaded the Roundheads by hiding in an Oak Tree. St Neot was a Royalist town during the English Civil War. Information from a local history pamphlet.
