Town house, Mayor's residence in 1832, under same roof as Nos. 3 and 4. C17 and
remodelled C18 and C20. Stone rubble with C20 cement render and asbestos slate
gable roofs and rear stone lateral stacks (one to right truncated below roof
covering). Originally 2 room through passage plan with rear wings to form U. 2
storeys, 4 window front. Doorway off centre to left with C19/C20 large 8 pane fixed
light window to left and 6 pane sash to right. Tall 16 and 12 paned sashes to first
floor. Window 3 has heavy ovolo moulded glazing bars and is C18. King George (-)
coin was found under window to far right.
Interior has straight flight turned baluster stair and 2 panel door to left first
floor room in C17 oak ovolo moulded frame with stepped stops. Upper floor was once
used for Town Council meetings. Pegged principal and collar roof.
