Public House. Early C19, extended in C20. Rendered brick. Low-pitched slate roof
with gabled ends. Stack at left hand gable end with tall brick shaft and square
yellow clay pots.
Double depth plan with central entrance between two front rooms.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front. 2 large ground floor windows and central
doorway, all flanked by thin pilasters, the windows with entablatures, over which is
a continuous wooden cornice. 6-panel door, its top panels glazed, segmental
fanlight with radiating glazing bars and narrow side lights. Three first floor
windows. All windows are C20 metal-frame casements, probably. replacing sashes, the
ground floor probably tripartite sashes. C20 metal-frame side and rear windows.
C20 single storey outshut and flat roof extension at rear.
Interior: only partly inspected, no original features seen.
