Farmhouse, now house. Early - mid C19; alterations and additions of later C19, with
C20 alterations and additions. Elvan stone ashlar front with granite dressings and
quoins; also ashlar at the left side. The rest in stone rubble. Hipped scantle
slate roof with ridge tiles. Stack to right and left sides with brick shafts.
Plan: 2-room plan, with central entrance and principal room to front left and right;
each room heated from an end stack. There is a wide integral rear wing to left,
which contains service rooms to left and stair hall to right. In later C19, the rear
wing was extended with a further addition of one-room plan for service. At the right
end of the main range there is a single storey C20 addition.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front. First floor has three late C19 6-
pane sashes; ground floor has late C19 4-pane sash to right and left, all with
granite voussoirs and keystones and granite jambs. Central early C19 6-panelled
fielded door with overlight, granite vousouirs, keystone and jambs. At the right end
there is a single storey C20 addition with monopitch roof. At the right side at
first floor a C19 12-pane sash with brick cambered arch and keystone to right. At
the left end the main range is blind. To left at ground and first floor two late C19
6-pane sashes with voussoirs, keystone and jambs in granite. Central C20 porch with
inner early C19 6-panelled fielded door. To left there is the lower 2-storey later
C19 addition with door, 9-pane sash at first floor. The rear of the wing has C19 12-
pane sash. The rear of the main range has C20 door. The inner side of the rear wing
has round-arched stair light, a C19 12-pane sash with splayed glazing bars. There is
a 2-storey C20 addition with door at ground floor and C19 12-pane sash at first floor
with brick cambered arches and keystones. There is a straight joint in the masonry
to the later C19 addition at the end, with C20 door at ground floor and C19 6-pane
sash at first floor.
Interior: Not inspected but may retain good features of the C19 such as
chimneypieces, staircase and joinery details.
