SW 63 NE WENDRON

1/320 Well house adjoining road entrance
- to Gregwarth Manor Farmhouse

Well house and adjoining entrance gateway wall and gate-piers. Circa mid or late
C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof at the
front, replaced with corrugated asbestos at the rear. Gable ends.
Small rectangular plan with doorway at either end and water outlet at the front.
Adjoining the left-hand end is a semi-circular-on-plan wall terminating in a square
on plan gate-pier. There is a carved granite sump with spout within the well-house
to carry water from former iron pump to a former granite trough in front of the
wellhouse. Wellhouse has original granite lintelled doorways and old ledged doors.
