Bridge carrying embankment of former railway over lane. 1838, for Tresavean
Branch of West Cornwall Railway. Uncoursed killas rubble with granite quoins and
voussoirs, brick copings. Narrow barrel-vaulted tunnel through embankment with
simple round-headed portals flanked by splayed retaining walls which also serve
as buttresses to the high wall above, and have brick copings. History: built to
serve Tresavean Mine approx. ½ mile to east, at that time the third largest
copper producer in the county.
