Powder house to former mine. Probably early C19. Uncoursed granite rubble with
some quoins, slurried scantle slate roof. Circular single-cell building approx. 5
metres in diameter. Single storey, approx. 2 metres to the eaves, doorway in
north side with quoined jambs. Conical roof. Interior not inspected. Rare survival
of structure used for storing explosives. Probably associated with former
Penstruthal copper mine.
