II
House now partly divided into flats. 1836. Built for William Sloggatt. Rendered and
stuccoed stone rubble. Rag slate roof with hipped ends, deep over hanging eaves and
panelled boxed gutters.
Double depth plan; central entrance hall with two reception rooms at front, possibly
kitchen to rear of left hand room and stair in projection to rear of right hand room
with small service room beyond.
2 storeys with basement at front. Symmetrical three window front with rusticated
quoins. Central Ionic porch, partly glazed C20 double doors and C19 panelled door
behind. Original C19 12-pane hornless sashes. Left hand side elevation with
fenestration partly replaced. Rear elevation with C19 sashes. Right hand side
elevation with stair projection lit by round headed stair window with intersecting
glazing bars.
Interior largely complete but not fully inspected.
