Farmhouse and adjoining barns and byres. Dated and inscribed on ceiling beam IS
and J.A.S. 1658 (Scott). Cement rendered walls on large projecting plinth
stones. Graduated greenslate roofs with C19 yellow-brick chimney stacks.
2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse with lower contemporary barn to left and right-angled
late-C17 barn, of common roof line, to right; lower right-angled C19 byre
extension, making overall U-shape. C20 door and sash windows in C19 painted
stone surrounds. Barn to left has former cross-passage entrance with plank door
under shaped lintel. 2 ground floor doorways with lofts above have chamfered
surrounds under Tudor arches. Upper floor slit vents. Barn to right has
chamfered doorways and small loft openings. External stone steps to loft door
at right. End wall right has 2-light stone-mullioned window. Rear has bank
entrance to loft. Byres have plank doors.
