Former farmhouse now private house, and barns. Dated 1660 over rear (now
internal) door with alterations dated and inscribed over front entrance I & M G
1715; further C20 alterations. Painted render and limestone rubble walls.
Rebuilt graduated greenslate roof with rebuilt stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys,
3 bays with extension to right of 2 bays, with former barn to left, all under
common roof. Further C19 former barn to extreme right. Cross-passage entrance
has top-glazed panelled door in chamfered surround with panel-inscribed frieze
under cornice. Central C20 door in partly original surround under reused
lintel. Sash windows with glazing bars in 1715 surrounds, one incorporating the
lintel of a 3-light stone-mullioned window. Small chamfered fire window to left
of cross passage and similar window above. Extension has plank door in
chamfered surround under Tudor arch. Sash windows with glazing bars in red
sandstone surrounds. Barn to left has top-glazed 6-panel door nearest house
with loft now sash window with glazing bars. Barn to right has C20 glazed cart
entrance and C20 upper-floor windows with similar windows to rear. Interior of
house has beamed ceiling. Rear outshut has 2-light stone-mullioned window.
Altered outbuilding to rear of house is not of interest but has reused lintel
inscribed and dated MT, GW, PG 1673 GH.
