Former farmhouse, now divided into 2 houses. Late C16 - early C17, extensively
altered in C19 and circa 1972. Plastered cob on stone footings; volcanic trap and
brick stacks; slate roof (formerly thatched). Originally 3-room and through-
passage plan with inner room to south-west (now occupied by No.1). Faces cobbled
courtyard to south-east. 2 storeys throughout. Roof, hipped to left, steps down
right of centre. Massive stone lateral stack to hall. Cross passage door to
right. Irregular 5 window front C20 iron casements. Little early work now exposed
inside. Hall beams are chamfered with unusual facetted stops.
