Stockwell Cottage

Cottage. Late C17 or C18, extended and modernised in later C20. Rendered
probably slate stone rubble walls, possibly with some cob. Thatch roof gabled to
left end, half-hipped to right. 2 rendered, probably brick, stacks.
Plan: originally 2 room plan, possibly with passage but plan altered in C20,
axial stack divided the 2 rooms. Late C20 addition on north side.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front of late C20 small-paned 2-light casememnts. Small stair light to right of centre and C20 French windows to right. Elevation facing road has a single storey flat roof extension built on at right angles with a porch between it and the main house.
Interior: much modernised, beams and fireplaces probably altered.
