Detached house, formerly known as Rose Cottage. Early C19 with circa C18 or
earlier range at rear. Whitewashed stone rubble. Slate hung first floor at
front. Slate roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Three bays. Sash windows
with glazing bars. Ground floor French windows and central doorway. Panelled
door and reveals and C20 wooden glazed porch. Stone rubble chimney stacks at
gable ends. Double depth plan with circa C18 or earlier parallel range at rear,
with external chimney stack on rear wall, and round-headed attic window in gable
end. Including flanking screen walls, early C19, stone rubble with stone
coping, rising up to high tent-shaped parapet to flat-topped finial. Small
triangular-headed doorway in each wall.
