Fronts of C18 or early C19 date, considerably altered.
No 33 and No 33A:- 2 storeys and attic. 2 window bays. Pantile roof.
boxed dormer. Parapet. Moulded cornice. First floor windows in reveals;
no glazing bars, Plate-glass shop front to left hand on ground floor;
entablature over. Early C19 doorway to Hawkhurst to right hand with fluted
pilasters and angle roundels; enriched panelled reveals; half-glazed door
with 2 flush panels; below.
Nos 35, 35A and 37:- Later C19. 2 storeys. 4 window bays. Slate gabled
roof. Painted brick front. Eaves band. 4 segmental headed window above
with keystones; no glazing bars. Elliptical headed carriage way with
rusticated voussoirs at left hand end; double ledged doors. Modern plate
glass shop front across ground floor to right hand.
Nos 29 to 53 (odd) and No 53A form a group.
